Dr. Aderemi A. V et.al, 2015, in his article titled “Food additives and their health implications on children in Africa” on the Journal of health Science
The food additives added to foods, chemically cultivated and processed plant foods can cause poorly developed brain early in life in children. Because these additives or chemicals used in food can cause abnormality of blood in their central nervous system. This is because constant consumption will lead to toxicity and accumulation of excess food additives which affect the blood in the central nervous system. This evaluation was made by joint efforts of FAO, WHO and JECFA know as Codex Alimentarius Commission.
Also, natural foods is gradually being replaced by chemically cultivated foods in the farm, which has contributed to the risk at which children are exposed to when they consume these plant foods.
